MABUCHI MOTOR CO., LTD.

Mabuchi Motor Co., Ltd., as a corporation engaged in the development, manufacturing, and sales of small motors, is well aware that its corporate activities are profoundly linked to the local natural environment as well as the global environment. We therefore conduct "corporate activities that promote the preservation of our earth's environment and our own human health." To this end, we have built an environmental management system based on ISO 14001 standards and have been following the system in our corporate activities in order to contribute to the protection of the environment.

  1. We will always recognize the impact our corporate activities have on the environment and comply with all environment-related laws and regulations and other requirements in order to reduce that impact.
  2. We will set environmental goals, objectives, and plans for the whole corporation as well as for each department to ensure effective environmental management. We will regularly review these goals, objectives, and plans to continuously improve the environmental management system and environmental achievements.
  3. We will pursue a reduction in environmental burden from major items of our corporate activities by placing our focus on the three following measures.
    1. The promotion of energy-saving measures to continuously reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
    2. The pursuit of zero waste emissions by conducting the proper sorting of waste and increasing reuse and recycling rates.
    3. The elimination of substances regulated in the ELV and RoHS Directives-namely, lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, and brominated flame retardants (PBB and PBDE).
  4. We will prepare documents stating this environmental Policy to thoroughly familiarize all employees with this Policy and inform outside parties.
