As a corporate citizen, Mabuchi carries out activities to promote harmony and mutual prosperity between the company and local communities.

Local Clean-up Activities

We are actively involved in cleaning up areas around our overseas affiliates to improve the standard of living and the environment of local residents.

Companionship / Home-Care Volunteering

Mabuchi is engaged in regional volunteer activities and is implementing support activities for visiting and taking care of seniors living alone, children in orphanages, and the like.

Tree-Planting

Dalian Mabuchi in China has been providing grants-in-aid for tree-planting projects conducted in the Dalian area since 1995. It also developed a leafy park near the dormitory for its employees, donated it to Dalian City as a citizens' park, and has been undertaking clean-up and maintenance activities. The company emphases tree-planting on its factory premises. In 2002, an 8600 m² lawn was planted and 540 trees were planted.

Jiangsu Mabuchi has been actively involved in activities in the community such as tree-planting and cleaning on its holidays.

Blood Donation Activities

We have been cooperating on blood donation activities since 1981. We are implementing blood donation at the head office and the technology center twice a year each and the employees who made blood donation more than 30 times are rewarded on each year's anniversary of the foundation of our company.

Other Regional Support

• Made donations for the reconstruction of the areas affected by the flood in Pakistan and the severe rainstorm in China occurred in September 2010 (the head office)
• Conducted cleanup efforts in the area around the company for the community environment, and blood donation activities for the purpose of humanitarian assistance (Taiwan Mabuchi / Jiangsu Mabuchi)
• Participated in the firefighting training for ensuring the safety of the community (Hong Kong Mabuchi/The third factory)
• Made donations for the reconstruction of the area affected by the earthquake (Mabuchi group)
