From this year, we are going to renew "RS-series (Heavy Duty series)" products one after another. This is done not only to develop standard motors which respond to the needs of the market to have more torque and efficiency with smaller in size and current consumption, but also to contribute to the functional improvement of the applications using our motors.
As the first step, we developed new motors for Power Tools Market and Ink Jet Printer Market.
RS-550PC/VC

- "RS-550VC" achieved one-rank higher performance that was obtained with our current RS-750 type motors, with RS-550 type.(30% smaller than current one)
- "RS-550PC" achieved improvement on torque with the same size as the current RS-550 type motors.
- Actual fastening torque by drill increased by about 20% with RS-550VC and about 10% with RS-550PC as compared with current model.
- Both RS-550VC and RS-550PC achieved to lower current consumption to have 5% max. increase in efficiency with the same application, and also cooling and vibration of the motor was improved.

- "RS-555PH", developed to cope with the market demands of high quality and high speed printing with large capacity of ink application, achieved stronger endurance against side load and lower stick-slip-noise(*1). "RS-555PH" reduced cogging torque and torque ripple(*2) to 1/2 and 1/4 respectively while maintained the torque unchanged as compared with current model (RS-555 type).
(*1) Stick-slip-noise :
Offensive and high frequency noise irregularly generated by abrasion between brush and commutator.
(*2) Torque ripple :
Periodical torque variation generated during a motor rotates one turn.
