Mabuchi Motor Co., Ltd. announces that at the board of directors held on February 17. 2006, it was resolved that by changing the dividend rule, the year-end dividend for fiscal 2005 year is to be increased from the previously announced amount as follows:

Content of the dividend rule change and reasons:

Mabuchi Motor Co., Ltd. has been distributing, as the company's dividend policy, the ordinary dividend of 50 yen per share as long-lasting stable dividend and the special dividend of the amount calculated by dividing the 20% of the consolidated net profits by shares to shareholders. It has resolved that ordinary dividend of 50 yen is to be increased to 60 yen after reviewing the dividend rule so as to realize the balanced return of profits to shareholders while keeping soundness of the investment and the business finance under the present business situation and taking into consideration of the present and future situations of Mabuchi's facility investment, cash flow, internal reserve.
By this, the ordinary dividend is to be increased by 5 yen to 30 yen from the previously announced amount of 25 yen, the special dividend is to be increased from the previously announced 18 yen to 20 yen as the year-end dividend for fiscal 2005 year. Thus the year-end dividend for fiscal 2005 year is to be 50 yen per share in total. The annual dividend per share for fiscal 2005 year is to be 92 yen, increased from previously announced 85 yen. The profit appropriation proposal incorporating this change is scheduled to be decided at the shareholders meeting to be held in the late in March. 2006.
