Announcement of Cancellation of Repurchased Shares

Mabuchi Motor Co., Ltd. hereby announces that the board of directors held on May 9, 2008 passed a resolution canceling the repurchased shares in accordance with the article 178 of the Company Law of Japan as follows:

1. Class of Shares to be cancelled: Common Share of Mabuchi Motor Co., Ltd.
2. Numbers of shares to be cancelled: 600,000 shares
   (The ration to the total number of shares issued: 1.27%)
3. Scheduled cancellation date: May 19, 2008
