Announcement of Cancellation of Repurchased Shares

Mabuchi Motor Co., Ltd. hereby announces that the board of directors held on September 30, 2008 passed a resolution canceling the repurchased shares in accordance with the article 178 of the Company Law of Japan as follows:

1. Class of Shares to be cancelled: Common Share of Mabuchi Motor Co., Ltd.
2. Numbers of shares to be cancelled: 600,000 shares
   (The ration to the total number of shares issued before the cancellation: 1.29%)
3. Scheduled cancellation date: October 8, 2008
